The course "Class A Asbestos Removal Course (Friable Asbestos Removal)" has finished

This one-day course is for tradespeople and businesses who remove and manage asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACM) under Class A. Tradespeople tasked to remove friable asbestos must complete this training and obtain a Class A Licence before undertaking the work.  Class A jobs also require the presence of someone licensed to supervise asbestos removal.

The course covers both the theoretical and practical components of this type of asbestos removal:  difference between friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials (ACM), all aspects of preparation, site isolation, removal and decontamination, site clean-up, and completing associated regulatory documentation.  Training is essential for:

  • Individuals who wish to apply for a Class A asbestos removal licence
  • Individuals who wish to undertake Class A asbestos removal work
  • Individuals planning to eventually apply to become a licenced asbestos supervisor
