Class A and B Asbestos Removal:

 

This one and a half day course is for tradespeople and businesses who remove and manage asbestos or asbestos-containing materials (ACM) under Class A and B. Tradespeople tasked to remove friable and non-friable asbestos must complete this training and obtain a Class A and B Licence before undertaking the work. 

 

Anyone who undertakes asbestos removal in an area of over 10m2 must have completed a non-friable (Class B) asbestos training course. Class A and B jobs also require the presence of someone licensed to supervise asbestos removal.

 

The course covers both the theoretical and practical components of this type of asbestos removal: difference between friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials (ACM), all aspects of preparation, site isolation, removal and decontamination, site clean-up, and completing associated regulatory documentation.  

 

Training is essential for:

  • Individuals who wish to apply for a Class A and B asbestos removal licence
  • Individuals who wish to undertake Class A and B asbestos removal work
  • Individuals planning to eventually apply to become a licensed asbestos supervisor
